“The world’s hottest classical ensemble or its tightest pop band? However it helps you to think about the LAGQ, keep the emphasis on superlatives for its unrivaled joy, technical elan and questing spirits.”—New York Times
For more than four decades, the Grammy Award-winning Los Angeles Guitar Quartet has continually set the standard for expression, charisma, and virtuosity among guitar ensembles. The group’s critically acclaimed transcriptions of concert masterworks provide a fresh look at the music of the past even as its interpretations of traditional and contemporary works continually break new ground. The quartet plans a program of music by Beethoven, Aaron Copland, Bach, and Liszt for its long-awaited return to UGA.
