Cinematic Electro-Folk from Sweden (Nordic/Celtic)
“Wonderful, catchy instrumental music with melodies that associate freely around the concept of folk/trad music and seek both electronic and art musical inspiration… The sound is about mood and produces a very special kind of shimmering warmth.”—Dagens Nyheter
Symbio is regarded as one of the most prominent new bands from today’s Nordic folk and world music scene. The magical interplay of hurdy-gurdy (a hand-cranked string instrument) and accordion, along with an electrifying stage presence, enables the duo to use music to paint heartfelt melodies, dreamy soundscapes, and hypnotic beats depicting life-affirming themes across its mesmerizing reservoir of original compositions. The result is a sound full of rhythm and mystery, orchestrated by the symbiotic relationship of two virtuosos.
