Chamber Music Athens: Gala Finale

This season’s festival farewell features the virtuoso violinist Joseph Lin, former first violinist of the legendary Juilliard String Quartet, performing as soloist in Bach’s beloved Violin Concerto in E major with the CMA String Ochestra. UGA faculty member, mezzo-soprano Elizabeth Knight, join the Parker String Quartet in Respighi’s ravishing Il Tramonto (“The Sunset”). The concert and the festival come to a joyous end with Mendelssohn’s exuberant String Octet, which brings together Lin, Parker Quartet, and UGA performers.
