On June 1, 2024 it was my distinct privilege to conduct the Mozart Requiem at Carnegie Hall in New York City, with an assembled chorus of 150 singers from 17 states around the country. That group gave a spectacular performance of that great work.  In the weeks that followed the idea to perform another concert in Athens with that group began to be considered.  An invitation was sent and 70 singers from 10 states have accepted, and are coming to perform in Hodgson Hall for this special event.  The music to be performed is Mozart – Solemn Vespers and Forrest – Lux: The Dawn From on High.  Both are great works by great composers.  The Vespers are bright, melodic, rhythmic, and exciting, pure Mozart.  Lux is more personal, but with much contemplation and exultation, employing sweeping phrases and beautiful melodies.  Please join us — both pieces are music you will want to hear!
