Directions and Parking

Hodgson Concert Hall and Ramsey Concert Hall are located in the University of Georgia Performing Arts Center at 230 River Rd, Athens, GA 30605.

The Fine Arts Theatre and Cellar Theatre are located in the University of Georgia Fine Arts Building at 255 Baldwin Street Athens, GA 30602.

Directions to the Performing Arts Center:
From the West (Atlanta)

Take 85 North to exit 106 for 316 East to Athens. Travel 30+ miles to Athens and take the Loop 10 exit for the University of Georgia. Take exit 7 off the Loop at College Station Road. Turn left onto College Station Road. At the second light, turn right onto River Road. Follow signs to Performing Arts Center.

From the North (South Carolina)

Take I-85 South to the Commerce exit and turn left onto U.S. 441 South to Athens. Travel 20+ miles to Athens. You will reach a highway overpass with signs for U.S. 129, 441 and Ga. 10 (the Loop). Follow the signs, turning left just after the bridge. Stay on the loop and take exit 7 at College Station Road. Turn right onto College Station Road. Take the first right onto River Road. Follow signs to Performing Arts Center.

From the East

Take 78 West to Athens. As you approach the city you will encounter an underpass — the Athens Loop. Drive under it and turn left onto the Inner Loop (U.S. 78 and Ga. 10), just before a Waffle House on the left. Take exit 7 at College Station Road. Turn right onto College Station Road. Take the first right onto River Road. Follow signs to Performing Arts Center.

From the South

Take 441 North toward Athens. Just outside Athens, follow signs to the University of Georgia and 441 North. Turn right and merge onto the Athens Loop. Take exit 7 at College Station Road. Turn left onto College Station Road. At the second light, turn right onto River Road. Follow signs to Performing Arts Center.

Parking at the Performing Arts Center

“UGA Presents” Performances
Through an arrangement with UGA Parking Services, free parking for all UGA Presents sponsored performances is available in both the Performing Arts Center surface lot (E11) and the Performing Arts Center parking deck.

Hugh Hodgson School of Music and All Other Performances
Paid parking can be accessed all day Monday through Friday in the Performing Arts Center deck, based on availability. Parking in the deck is free on Saturdays and Sundays. Cash is not accepted. Payment can be made at the kiosk near the ground level elevators or via the Park Mobile app. Parking is not available in the surface lot Monday through Friday before 6:00 p.m. Parking is only available after 6:00 p.m. in the surface lot for all other performances and events (Hugh Hodgson School of Music, rentals, etc.). There is no charge to park in the surface lot after 6:00 p.m.

Parking at the Fine Arts Theatre

For performances at the Fine Arts Theatre, please use the Hull Street Deck, the Tate Center Parking Deck, or other UGA surface lots in the area. Parking fees may apply in these decks depending on the day of the week and time of day. All parking is based on availability. The Tate Center Deck is “pay to park” at all times. The Hull Street Deck is available for free public parking after 6:00 p.m. Monday through Friday and all day on Saturday and Sunday. Please refer to on-site signage for access to surface lots. Most parking requires a five minute walk to the theatre. A limited number of accessible parking spaces are located behind the Fine Arts Building. Additional accessible spaces are located in both of the decks mentioned above.

Shuttle Bus to Select Performances at Fine Arts Theatre

A shuttle bus for select UGA Presents performances at the Fine Arts Theatre from the Performing Arts Center. The shuttle bus is a complimentary service for anyone with limited mobility who may have difficulty walking from the Hull Street or Tate Center parking decks to the Fine Arts Theatre and/or those who wish to avoid being out on the sidewalks after dark.

The shuttle bus is a free service for any ticket holder. Seating is based on availability, and advance reservations are required. To secure a spot, please contact the Performing Arts Center Box Office. Reservations must be made before 4:00 p.m. three business days prior to the performance. 

The shuttle bus will make two departures from the drop off zone near the lobby entrance of the Performing Arts Center. The first shuttle bus will depart at 6:45 p.m. A second trip will depart as soon as the bus returns to the Performing Arts Center (approximately 7:15 p.m., depending on traffic conditions at the time).

The shuttle bus will stop on Baldwin Street directly across from the front entrance of the Fine Arts Building. Following the performance, the shuttle bus will depart the Fine Arts Building from the same location and return directly to the Performing Arts Center. Companions will be allowed to ride the shuttle bus, but due to the limited capacity, priority will be given to those who require it.
