UGA Presents to offer enhanced patron experience

As the 2018-19 season begins, UGA Presents has implemented several new features to enhance the patron experience. First is the Mobile Ticket Option, available for select events, where patrons can have their tickets delivered directly to their cell phone without the need for a printed ticket. Patrons save money by not paying the print fee and they save time by not having to stand in line at the box office. Patrons will simply show the digital ticket on their mobile device to the usher at the door to be scanned for entry into the performance.

Another feature for 2018-19 is the addition of more handicap-accessible seating in the front orchestra section of Hodgson Concert Hall. “We want to make our performances as accessible as possible to all patrons, regardless of mobility,” says Performing Arts Center Director Jeffrey Martin. An additional location for accessible seats is now located on row L in the orchestra as well as one new location in the house left balcony.

Also new this season, patrons will be able to use credit cards at the concession stand. In the past, the volunteers who staff the concessions were only able to accept cash or checks. Now concert-goers will be able to use more convenient debit and credit cards to take advantage of the wider selection of snacks available prior to the start of the performances and during intermission.

The Performing Arts Center will continue to provide free parking in the PAC parking deck for all UGA Presents events.
