Saturday Morning Club to showcase music from superhero movies

ATHENS, Ga. — The next Saturday Morning Club will take place March 21 at 10 a.m. in Hodgson Concert Hall with a performance by the UGA Wind Symphony. Director of Bands Jaclyn Hartenberger will conduct the program which will feature music from popular superhero movies.

“Do you ever wonder how music helps our Super Heroes sound strong? Come listen to the UGA Wind Symphony perform the music from our favorite superhero movies and learn about the super powers of music,” Hartenberger says.

Attendees will have the opportunity to make their own superhero mask before the concert, and there will be an instrument petting zoo after the performance, weather permitting.

The Saturday Morning Club is a series of performances for young people, by young people. These fun, interactive events are designed for children from ages four through twelve and feature UGA student ensembles and other young performers. Parents and grandparents are encouraged to attend this family-friendly activity with their children. All ages are welcome.
