Due to a number of insurmountable and unexpected logistical challenges, Salzburg Marionette Theatre has made the difficult decision to cancel its upcoming spring tour of the United States. The performances scheduled at UGA on February 26 and 27 have been cancelled and will not be rescheduled. We sincerely apologize for the disapointment and inconvenience this causes. We appreciate your patience and understanding.

For more than a century, Salzburg Marionette Theatre — one of the last remaining full-time professional marionette troupes in Europe — has held countless audiences spellbound with its skillful artistry and captivating performances.
In this charming and imaginative production, three beloved animal stories come to life through beautiful music, exquisite puppetry, and captivating narration.
Follow Babar, the little elephant who escapes the jungle for the city and learns to live like a human; meet Ferdinand, the gentle young bull who prefers flowers over fighting; and enjoy a poetic reinterpretation of Saint-Saëns’ The Carnival of the Animals, reimagined with flair and fantasy.
Set to the delightful music of Francis Poulenc, Alan Ridout, and Camille Saint-Saëns, this production blends classical composition with masterful puppetry.
