Akin to a bingeable dramedy carved with the beautiful prose that made Dickens so popular\, Nikki Massoud’s adaptation of this timeless novel is uproarious and thrilling\, filled with escaped prisoners\, wealthy and terrifying eccentrics\, decaying mansions\, and a young heiress of ruthless intelligence.
