The group’s long-delayed UGA Presents debut brings the singers to Athens with a joyful holiday program. First performed in Dublin in 1742\, Handel’s oratorio Messiah portrays Advent\, the birth\, the Passion\, and the Resurrection of Christ. Atlanta Symphony Orchestra Director of Choruses Norman Mackenzie steps up to the podium to conduct the first part of this work and the “Hallelujah” Chorus.
