Swiss-born American pianist Gilles Vonsattel is an artist of extraordinary versatility and originality. Comfortable with an enormous range of repertoire, he displays a musical curiosity and sense of adventure that has gained him unrestrained praise. Recipient of an Avery Fisher Career Grant and winner of the Naumburg and Geneva competitions, Vonsattel has performed as a soloist with numerous major orchestras, including the Boston Symphony Orchestra, San Francisco Symphony, and Warsaw Philharmonic. The Washington Post called a recent performance “spellbinding” and The New York Times hailed his 2014 New York solo recital “tightly conceived and passionately performed . . . a study in intensity.”
