The acclaim accorded to pianist Javier Perianes confirms his status as one of Spain’s most exciting young artists. His growing international reputation includes notable appearances in Carnegie Hall, Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, and the Théâtre des Champs Elysées in Paris.
This fun event features outstanding UGA student performers and is designed especially for children ages four through twelve and their parents and grandparents.
Grammy-winning soprano Kathleen Battle celebrates the roots of African-American freedom with a very special program of spirituals and hymns. She will be joined by UGA's Hodgson Singers and choir members from local churches.
Red Priest might just be the world’s most extraordinary baroque quartet. They’ve been compared to the Rolling Stones, Jackson Pollock, the Marx Brothers, Spike Jones, and Cirque du Soleil.
One of the finest symphonic ensembles in Russia will perform an all-Russian program that includes Glinka’s Overture to Ruslan and Lyudmilla, Rachmaninoff’s Symphony No. 1, and Tchaikovsky’s Piano Concerto No. 1.
Bandleader Evan “Bibs” Palazzo and singer “Miz Elizabeth” Bougerol combine with the Sardine ensemble of powerhouse musicians – and their very own tap dancer – to play hot jazz and sultry standards from the 1920s, ‘30s, and ‘40s.
ARCO was established by UGA Franklin Professor of Violin Levon Ambartsumian during his years as professor of violin at the Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory.
